I am excited to share that Cindy Harris has accepted a nomination to be our next Membership Team deacon. This role was previously held by the elder Secretary. When we updated the bylaws last year, we decided it would be wise to appoint a separate lay deacon to oversee this important standing committee; the elder Secretary is still an ex officio of the membership team.
Cindy is a wonderful fit for this role. She loves Jesus, she is committed to caring for people (through discipleship & fellowship), she is passionate about inspiring the church body to do the work of ministry, and she is a prayer warrior for the lost.
Since the Membership Team is a standing committee, we will need to vote at the annual meeting whether to appoint her to the role.
The current Membership Team is – Ryan & Rachel Einfeldt, Del Shimandle, Tom Woodsworth, plus Tim Wilkin as ex-officio.
